I read the negative reviews, but I believe they were due to overly high expectations. Yes the steam was short-lived, but rapidly rebooted so I got the job done having a minimum of elbow grease. I discovered the Haan Steamer adequate for the work it states it can do. It produced steam which melted greasy dirt that I was then able to wipe away having a wet sponge and occasionally a little cleanser.
